In Norway we have a mandatory military service of 12-19 months for men between the ages of 18.5 and 44 in peacetime.it works well for us, and you can allways dropp out if you feel like it. (it helps you getting into a university afterwards)
And since we got free education that one year is the least you can do! (did my time as a field medic) much better than an army consisting of mainly people from poor families! |
