I don't think there are "so many extremists" that it doesn't matter. Some just get more attention than others. Look at this site for example, Westboro Baptist Church is represented 6 times on this site under their own name, and many more times with a title that just generically calls them "Christians". They're a <100 person Church. They represent 0.000005% of Christianity, yet they are used as the representative of Christianity on this site (roughly, using search results) 15% of the time. That's FOXesque levels of bias if this site purported any neutrality. |

1) Bible Basher is a term that means the same as bible thumping. I've heard it way more often the first way. Maybe thumping is an Americanism?2) I agree this is a horrible thing to do to your children in general. You have to give them freedom or the choices they make are worthless. 3) Scroll down to Camp Quest in particular, but all are sickening. |

I don't think it's possible to have your child grow up completely unbiased... but coming from a Christian upbringing with very VERY accepting parents, I can say that it is possible to teach your child to analyze everything around them. |

I may be an atheist, but I'm also a liberal, and I believe that parents should have the right to teach their kids anything they want up to a certain age. This video represents the lowest tiers of society. Its not mainstream and it never will be. I think we're safe. ... like I said before, its only a matter of time. Give it a few decades and we'll see a majority abandoning religion. |

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhkayyyy...Freedom of religion, fine. Leave the kids out of it, let them make their own decisions. Don't push the kid into something, let them wander towards it themselves. Religion is misinterpreted constantly, symbols are assumed to be what they are not, and severely outdated scripture is ripped completely out of context on a daily basis. Let's leave the kids out of it. :/ |
