It's not like they were saying "Hey, look at us make a distasteful joke about suffocating in your own vomit." These commercials have always have scenes from movies in which one actor steps out of character and talks. Lighten up. |

How do they even make these commercials ? The people havent even aged . I just don't get it . RIP Mr. Farley. He was great in his day and had a good run. |

What about the fact they are still showing commercials with Billy Mays in them ? What about the Rock Band commercial with 2 dead Beatles band members in it ?That kind of sensitivity is long gone folks. |

It wasn't the fact that they showed Chris Farley that pissed me off, it's the fact that David Spade talked a bucof crap about him in the commercial. That no-talent douchebag wouldn't even have a career if it wasn't for Chris Farley (not that he has one anyway). And yes, I can see how maybe, just maybe Spade was trying to play the same character in the commercial as he does in Tommy Boy. Still, it would have been less offensive if he had said something moderately kind about the man. meh </bitching> |

I miss Chris Farley. :(But yeah, this is totally fail... You know that they make several other commercials like this one where they have the actor talking about HDTV in a random movie scene, right? Tommy Boy ftw! |

And it's not like they did anything to Farley's actual part but play it. This is just as wrong as TBS showing Tommy Boy on TV, or any artist who's EVER slightly altered or put a new twist on any piece of music written by a previously deceased artist... which is, uh... a lot. Get over it. |

How is this wrong? I'm like the biggest Farley fan ever and I thought this was awesome.These commercials recreate scenes that are cult CLASSICS -- this is an homage. Simple as that. Somewhere, Farley approves. |
