There's a new religion in town and green is its color. if you don't join up, you will be crucified under the guise of crimes against humanity. We have officially gone insane as a society.

lol I love how you've all made this about climate change. You know, he actually said he and his friends helped found the organizations to combat global warming. Granted, he then makes the (unlikely) claim that Communists from East Berlin stole it from him, it still isn't the focus of his speech.
The focus (I hope I don't need to explain) is the idea of the creation of a world government, which, according the Marx, is the grand ideal for Communism.
Still, it all seems rather silly. Any global government will most likely deal with world trade rather than anything else. Doubtful that whatever "Enforcement" he mentions actually will effect local businesses. But who knows? I haven't read the thing.

there's nothing wrong with the climate!? is this guy insane? i have a really hard time believing that he is a climate change expert if he doesn't put into account the runaway greenhouse effect [i.e. venus' atmosphere]

At last ninja, that's exactly their point, they don't want you to now, because they know that anybody with any mind of their own would oppose it. It's taking every ounce of energy i have not to get extremely pissed of right now by the way.

i'm confused. i think we would've heard about a single communist world government treaty before they signed it.

"There is nothing wrong with the climate. Here - I'll prove it by quoting Winston Churchill..."

Douchebaggery proven, that's what.

I actually like the idea of a world government, it would allow means of upholding international laws.

Yes, we should all make a dictatorship to control the earth and transfer wealth over. We should also sell the Vatican to end world hunger.

this guy is right i have read bits and peaces of the treaty my self and it talks of creating a global council that will hold power thru government, economic, and military. The military part is all ready in place " NATO" the economic part is too " world bank " the only thing that is left is the government part. so have said the the U.N. will take on that roll but by what this doc. says every nation will have to give up troops to NATO and every government is instantly a member of the U.N. on top of that another group will be put in to place to control the 3 arms of this world government.

ok, right lets just listen to anyone with a british accent and decent oration skills. ALL this treaty is doing can be summed up like this:
"hey america its china, and japan. you promised in that treaty you signed that you would keep your carbon emissions below *some number* well were going to have to PUT AN EXTRA TAX ON YOUR GOODS. thats right america...YOUR beef jerky will cost 2 dollars and fifty cents more a pound than polands, because poland has been good and green"
there is no enforcing other than countries imposing extra "pollution taxes" on imports from america.
OMG NOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Sorry, last thing, just couldn't resist. Ignorant quote of the day:

gorgack2000:
"Would everyone just shut up about politics. Please. We've got a world to save here."

I'd hate to break it to you, but politics IS living in a society with other human beings. I doubt you'd get much planet saving accomplished in anarchy.

I wish more people realized exactly what this man just said.

To anyone who supports such movements towards the redistribution of wealth, I sincerely hope you also don't mind a substantially lower standard of living for all of us in this nation. So say goodbye to your extra spending cash, your nice new car, being able to save up YOUR OWN money to live comfortably; because big government like ours doesn't think you deserve to keep the money you earn for yourself.

Also simply throwing more money at something doesn't mean it'll improve. There must be a properly fully laid out plan and guidance-- something that politicians (who's only concern is reputation during their short few year term and nothing further) Will never embrace.

True global success begins with private funding, dedicated philanthropists, and blooming businesses that can provide jobs and growth in lesser developed nations. Discipline is not developed when money is simply given, but when it is earned with dedication.

can't believe it, someone posted this. this is iab still right?

if this is signed by barry, ostensibly the constitution becomes a by-law & is meaningless to the new world order & guess who, yes you will be the new subject of international order. so that's how democracy ends, with thunderous applause.

betcha always thought it would be a conservative that did this, didn't yah. even Keyser Söze couldn't convince the world liberals didn't exist.

welcome to nineteen eighty four

But the money going to developing countries is an investment to help them use and develop greener technology. It's so that as they develop they don't follow on the same unsustainable path as the developed countries when we were first developing a long time ago. Like the clean development mechanism in the Kyoto protocol.

"Global warming" and the new term "Climate change" are the biggest outright frauds ever perpetrated.
